My big thing is kid's clothes. We don't have a lot of money, and I can be pretty picky about what my kids wear to school. So, we go to a lot, and I get to get them nice name brand clothes for next to nothing. I also have to keep my eye out for anything that would look like my husband can make money on. My hubby should have been a used car salesman, because he could sell snow to an eskimo! lol His main thing is scanners and CB radios. The one time, he found a Scanner at a garage sale for $5. He was talking to a lady, and she was so upset, because she bought some kind of digital scanner, and couldn't figure out how to use it, so she wanted to trade him for the one he found at the garage sale. Then, he found someone who wanted the digital scanner, and traded him that for a go-kart. Then he sold the go-kart for $350! This is just one example. He does stuff like this all the time!

thanks Katherine! I buy toys for them at garage sales because a) they grow out of them quick, esp when they were babies, and b) they tend to take everything home with them, much to my daughters dismay. We are trying to teach them they should leave toys at grandmas, but its not working, they also took most of my sons cars at this point(great way to get rid of stuff I odnt want and he doesnt want to part with)

It depends, I have found some good furniture at garage sales, kids clothes, toys for the grandkids. I never relly go with a purose in mind though, I just browse till something catches my eye.
