Hard to say. Could be the time he set fire to his room. I never have gotten the smell out. Or when he took a baseball bat to my car, or when he decided that peeing in his closet was much more efficient than going to the bathroom, or when he locked us out of the house an took a red permanent marker to the white kitchen cabinets, or when he got into a can of paint and painted himself, the floor, the stairs. a computer and several pieces of furniture, or when he flushed Legos down the toilet, or spilled gasoline in the front hall, or any other of a number of incidents, some involving poop, and all involving something he should know better then to do.

We had just moved into our new home and my son was two. He was taking a nap and since I was 8 mnths preggo I did too. I woke up to him smearing oil based makeup all over my new carpet. We never got the stains out.
With my daughter she did the whole poop thing, she even got it on the frikkin ceiling...still not sure how she managed that one. It finally stopped when I wised up and started putting her diaper on backwards at naptime lol.

Jane wins!

I will say that I'm very happy to hear all of the poop problems! That is one of my main problems with my Lily. She likes to eat hers though. :( She hasn't done it in a while but my fingers have been (and will stay) crossed that she stops for good. I haven't really had that many bad messes. Just the normal playing with toys mess.

BTW: Emma, I love the name Alaska! Boy or Girl? I'm guessing Girl but I just want to make sure first!

Probably when my daughter took off her pull up and poopoed on the floor in the living room and my son thought he'd help her smear all over the entire living room (after they colored on the walls). All this while I was trying to take care of the baby for all of ten minutes.

You would be surprised what you can do if you have no choice. He is my son. I have to do whatever I can to help him, and I love him even when I don't like him.

Jane, As a mother that would be heartbreaking to watch a child, any child deal with that sort of thing. You must be one very strong woman!

In a way I am cheating, because my son is ADHD, ODD and Bipolar, and also shows signs of Asperger's. If he doesn't take his meds he hallucinates, and even when he does he is angry with me most of the time. He used to threaten to kill me and would try to hurt me with a knife (we got rid of the knives so that solved that). And after the second fire we got rid of all matches, lighters, and flammable liquids. Often his worst messes happened just before we had to commit him to inpatient treatment.

He is 17 now and still has issues, especially with poop and anger, but he is old enough now that he knows that a call to 911 would end up with his arrest, so he does try to do better. But he forgets, so this last time he broke the front passenger door of the car because he slammed it so hard.

He is not a normal kid (oh, how I often wish he were).

when my son blew up the toilet boil with a waterproof firecracker. To his credit he did buy and install a new toilet before I got home.

I love the name Rhiannon! I was thinking of it for Renae. YOu don't hear of people calling their kids those kind of names anymore :)

Do we have a prize for Jane, because I'm pretty sure she wins! Rhiannon used to smear poop on the bathroom wall, but that was easy enough to clean off. The worst messes were my red nail polish on the wall, 2 years later I still haven't managed to get all of it off. I'm still working on it though! And she coloured on her bedroom wall with my black liquid eyeliner. It stained.

Think it has to be my little man and his dicky tummy. He was ill a couple of weeks ago and woke up in the middle of the night saying he needed to poop, he jumped out of bed and ran across the landing trailing said poop behind him. Took ages to get that out of the carpet.
Other than that, cake baking is my enemy. How they gan get flour in the sitting room is beyond me :)

I'm going to say... It was my oldest, Bob, when he was around 19/20. He was trying to fix a carburetor for a friend and decided to do it in MY kitchen! Grease, oil and even gasoline all over my sink, counters, table... and him.. all over him and everything he touched..

Yes, we have a garage, and a 30 X 60 heated shop. No, i don't know why he chose my kitchen of all places, but he never did it again.

LOL! My son never smeared poop but one day he pooped on the floor and didn't tell anyone (he was potty training so he didn't have a diaper on) I ended up stepping in it but I hadn't noticed until I saw a trail of brown spots on the carpet. I tracked them back to the table where my son was sitting and there it was. I was like what is that and my son says "nuffin (nothing) mommy. me not do it!" For a minute I thought the cat had an accident until I saw it all over the kitchen chair and his bum too! Yikes :P
