Them swimming. I caught my FIL (ex almost) sitting under a patio umbrella not watching my 4 year old in the water one year. She had floaties on but I could have killed him right then and there!!!! WTF??? It terrifies me. I want to be the ONLY one to take them swimming that's how much it scares me.

I'm so glad we don't have to worry about snakes here. That would freak me out too.

SNAKES!!!!! We live in the country. We have a very shallow creek (like knee deep to the kids) that runs right behind our garage, and a swampy area that is across the street, so definitely snake friendly. For the most part, our slithery kritters are black, or garter, but there are copper heads around here as well, and I fear one of the kids will accidently come up on one. I also worry about diseases from ticks and mosquitos. We have bats that fly around the house at night, so they keep the mosquito population down, but the ticks are terrible. I actually ended up with lyme disease from one last year.

Nothing really. I love summer. The pool at our building was opened this week but haven't made it out there yet (J has a lifejacket he wears to the pool) and in two months we're heading to my folks place by the ocean where I plan on spending as much time by the beach as possible.

I often worry about things like sunburn, dehydration, and them getting stung by something.

I don't know yet. I suppose it all depends on if Rhiannon's dad wants to take her to his grandma's over the summer. But fortunately, I've got the man well under control, so he knows the rules and knows that if he fucks up he's gonna need a lawyer that he'll never be able to afford. IF I let him take our daughter 13 hours away to a lakefront house, full of incompetent adults that I can't trust, she will not be there for a minute without him.

Swimming at the beach. I don't take them unless I have someone with me.
