i'm a long term engaged girl i believe!! i'm sure he wants to marry me but we never have the money and if we did there is more important shit to deal with first, ie bills fixing cars, school fees etc...

when we got engaged it took 5 mths to get a ring and then it was a $30 aud ring fordable n practible as i worked with paint ever day since then, 1 child and 3 yrs latter its missing a stone and broken at its thinest point but i still wear it cos i can!

funniest thing is when i told my family they were like ok thats nice but his family went all out and got us gifts n shit WTF is not like i said i do n moved into a house n shit!! (we were living together at the time tho lol)

As for my fb status it says i'm engaged but at one stage it automatically said i was single n the flourie of wtf did he cheat came n i was u know what lets see what his mates say???

as it turned out he stopped contact with heaps of "friends" due to it but im happy the way i am n who knows what the future holds??????

Maybe if I was desperate for a boyfriend and wanted to advertise. Last time I was single I was 18 so I have never been wanting a boyfriend. I wear my married status on my finger and my facebook says married and I don't change it and it doesn't affect my life.

I notice a difference in men when I don't have my wedding rings on and its not always bad, it's just when I remember that I'm not wearing them it's an, "AHA" moment. I am married, just not always happily so.

I got my relationship status on my FB page.

However, I quickly realised that THAT is a huge little factor in the type of adds you get posted on the page (or even sent to your email, thanks to the new updates from FB >:-\ )

So now I change the relationship status to all sorts of things, he he he... totally freaks my "friends" out...lol And recently my fiance too... he hehe (I switched from "its complicated" to "married"...lol.)
I tell you, the going to "its complicated" got all sorts of worry and concern from my friends! LOL
Finally they realised that if shit was going down in my relationship, putting it in my relationship status as an announcement that my relationship is in poo IS NOT they way I would do it.
In fact, I would tell them personally and out of the scope of FB if that was the case. I surely would not be going around announcing things so private on such a public and frequently, impersonal forum.

But I do like having fun with those statuses, and I like the fact that I just might be messing up with FB marketing stats, just a miniscule amount :-D

You wear it on your hand, what's the difference?

I am married and I proudly post that on FB. I just don't care to be honest.... But to each their own. Who am I to judge any one?

Why would you? If you want to advertise that you are single do so. In my humble opinion, my status belongs to me and anyone i choose to PERSONALLY share it with.

Now if you are the kind os person who wants to share publically....do so. Why ask the opinions of thoers?

I rarely wore my weddng ring even when i was married,it got too big on me, and I never did get it sized. I do have my relationship status on fb, thats because I liked being single. Now by bf added the ina relationship with thing, I felt bad not to accept it.

No. If I want someone to know my relationship status, I'll tell them - just in case they miss the ring on my finger.

Lol I don't even have my relationship status on Facebook! Maybe if I were 20 I would be into it but I'm too old to be following the latest trends!
