So, I looked up healthy receipes on Bethenny Frankel website and she had this easy meal idea: tri-color peppers, onions, parsley, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes all of this sauteed in 1tbsp of olive oil then whole wheat linguinie pasta mixed with 1 tbsp of parmesan cheese and everything mixed together. It was delicious and healthy, the problem is....I ate like three serving portions of it.... I feel like if this dish had some protein in it like tofu, or chicken, or fish I wouldn't eat so much of a pasta.

Have you tried any recipes with quinoa? It is really good and even though quinoa is like a grain, it's really high in protein. I think it's also gluten-free. It's pretty easy to make, and then you can mix it with lots of different things, to your liking. This evening I'm making quinoa with cilantro and lemon juice. I've had it with avocado and also with spinach. Definitely something to add to the healthy diet rotation, and a pretty good substitute if you're craving carbs.

Yes, I've tried quinoa. I add it to soups and chili. I have really gotten away from healthy, clean eating. I'm gonna cook some up and use my brain to get a little more creative. Thanks for the reminder!

I'm glad to help! Your stir fry sounds great. I've only had quinoa a few ways, but now that I've also reminded myself how yummy it is, I am going to try to use it a lot more. The lemon juice and cilantro was so easy and fresh tasting - delicious!

I cooked up some quinoa this morning and I just hd the most wonderful lunch. I made a stir fry with quinoa, black beans, red and orange peppers, cilantro, canned diced tomatoes and Mris Dash Fiesta Lime. It was wonderful!!! If I can get a pic on here I will post it!

I agree! I really can't do pasta if I want to lose weight. I can do a little Dreamfields pasta. I like to add chickpeas when I do pasta. It sounds so good! I'm gonna look it up. Fresh spinach would be a good add too!
