Hi - I'm a preschool teacher and I've written some stories about kids with different family structures, in this case lesbian and transgender. You can find them at
http://auntannieschildcare.blogspot.com/...
You can use them or the ideas in them for free- I just want to make the world a slightly better place and cut prejudice down in the early years if I can! :D

Maybe I can write you a Valentine's Day story... actually that's a great idea, I must do it!

Just got on here to post my info, and one of the things I really tried to do for my Valentine's curriculum was to keep it gender neutral. It's difficult! Valentines is often represented as a man and woman falling love, when that's actually often not what they see in real life. Divorce, death, separation, non-traditional family situations are all far more common for these little ones to be involved in, and we definitely don't want them to feel as if they are in a "wrong" situation and that their lives are in any way not normal and fine.
