Does anybody here know the difference in nutritional value of dried and fesh fruit? My 1yr old will have sultanas, dried apricots and prune, but will not eat his fresh fruit, I think because it is wet and slimey...

Also I am currently giving him HEINZ toddler milk formula and wondering if it actually is better than cows milk, it is a mixture of whole milk powder and skim milk powder....

HELP!

Dried fruits tend to habe more sugar in them than fresh fruit so that you can keep them longer, they are preserved, they are still a healthy option, but fresh is better!

Fresh is better- try putting them in a recipe. Dry fruits have lots of sugar, I don't know if they still have all the nutrition- I'd like to find out also.

Antonia,

First, your doing a great job! Your child is eating fruits whether fresh or dried, some kids won't touch any! I'm not sure about the milk, but would ask you to read labels on everything that goes into your child's mouth!

God bless,

Cheri
