New to Circle of Moms

Hey everyone. I am new to circle of moms and new to having a truck driver for a hubby. Just looking for some support with my new life style. We have two children 12 and 3, both girls. Boy oh boy do I have my hands full with him on the road. Any advice?

Thank you for the support!!! I am coping a little better now, I still wish everyday that he was home with me and the kids but I am managing for our kids sake!!

HI Tiffany,My husband has been a truck driver for 10 years. We have been together for 4 of those 10 years. When we first got together we had no children and I would go on the road with him and i really enjoyed it then I became pregnant with our oldest who would have been 2 this year and I stopped riding with him. We ended up losing that one at 18 weeks. I asked him to stay home to be with me while I delt with the lose of our son. I am now the mom to a 7 month old and my husban dis no help when he is home. He is home for about 12 hours a week. And its hard. I just want you to know that you have support.

well...it is a little difficult to get used to. I was a single mom for 7 years when I met and married my husband. I was used to being alone so him being gone all week wasn't really a big shock to me. I have to admit that it gets a bit stressful on the weekends when he is home because the whole dynamic of the family changes. All of a sudden you have a "head of household" !!! that sounds a bit silly but it's true. I was used to doing everything on my own before he came along but since this is all new for you, it may be a bit hard to begin with. It's not a way of life for everybody. Good Luck :o)
