I have 3 girls(13, 12 & 10) and 1 boy, age 9. My son still wears pull-ups at night (a must). We stop the drinks at supper and use rest room before bed. We've tried Rx from doctor, with no result. I've gone w/out pull-ups, thinking he wouldn't like the feel, w/ no effect. Even bought pink, ballerina pull-ups, w/ no effect...I've tried (a little) waking him thru the night to relieve himself, but I'm not a pleasant person w/out my sleep. He is not bothered by the fact that he wears pull-ups...Any suggestions

One of my sons wore Good Nights until 5th grade. He was on Rx (DDAVP) meds also, the highest dose they could put him on. He finally just outgrew it. After about a year of staying dry we tried cuttin out the meds too. He's now in 6th grade, no meds, no Good Nights and no wet beds. He'll out grow it eventually. Don't make him feel bad about it, and don't belittle him for it. He's not doing it on purpose. Even though he may act like he doesn't care chances are he really does and is embarassed about it. I didn't think my son cared either. Then one time he heard me talking to another mom (who was having issues with her child's nightime wetting) after we were alone he asked me not to tell people about it. He said he felt stupid that he was 10 and still had to wear a Good Night. Until that moment I thought he didn't care one bit. Good luck. This too shall pass. :)

Have you tried DDAVP? My son is 12 and we had to give him the drug. It is working now.

My 10 year old still has this problem. Don't be to hard on him, I was told that there is a hormone or something that makes you not wet the bed and it doesn't always develop right away. He will grow out of it. It is just a matter of time. Good luck to you.
