I get up at 5:30 am, pack my husbands lunch and get him out the door. Make a pot of coffee. Then get the 14 yr old daughter up at 6:00 am for a shower. Make the lunches and on the weeks my 13 yr old son is here work on getting him up (this is a feat cause he is not a morning person) by 6:15. Then I make a hot breakfast for her or them.
Daughter has to look after her horse before she gets on the bus, as well as the cats and dogs. All outside chores. Son is a slow mover til about 8:30, even on the weekends, so he has no morning chores other than getting ready.
Kids get on the bus at 7:32 am and I do the dishes, clean the bathrooms, gather clothes, make the beds. Then I get an hour (10 -11) to me, either go to the neighbors for coffee, or quiet time.
Yes, I have spoiled the kids, I can see that but that my morning routine. Well, this is what my mom did and I feel that I am the mom and so I do it. I don't even think about it.

I have 2 in elementary and 2 in preschool. I get up around 7 when my oldest gets up. I take a shower, then wake up my 6 year old. Usually by then my 5 and 3 years olds are up. I change diapers for the 2 younger kids(both have special needs), then start breakfast. After the kids have eaten or been helped with eating I make lunch for the older girls. While I am making lunch the older girls get themselves dressed (except for making sure their clothes match) and ready for school. Then my husband usually drops the girls off at school by 9. Then I get the younger 2 kids dressed, brush their hair and teeth and get their things ready for school. Not an easy task as one kid has leg braces, and a helmet to get on. Then my husband and I drop the kids off at school by 9:30 (hopefully on time).

Does anybody have very young children? I have four boys 3 and younger (3, 22 months, 10 week twins). I am having a VERY hard time establishing a good morning routine. I would love to know if anybody in a similar situation has a great routine that works for them.

I am not quite sure how we manage to keep sanity each and every morning but we do!
The children in school (3 oldest) wake up at 7:30. Downstairs eat breakfast, after eating its brush their teeth and get themselves dressed, come downstairs and put lunchboxes and agendas in bookbags at door. Shoes, snowsuit - if winter, all get put on. Out the door by 8:45. In between all this I am sure to have settled the mystery of a missing toy, ref'd an arguement, managed to get the dog outside, nursed the baby and remembered to dress myself! LOL. We make lunches every night so they are ready next day. We lay out all clothes in piles in bedroom for next day. If for any reason I have forgotten to do those two things its pure KAOS. Other than that our mornings go fairly smoothly. We also have wrote on a poster board the routine so the kids can see for themselves and stay on course.

My day starts around 6:15am.. I get up to make pot of coffee and be sure to have at least one cup before waking children. 6:30am I get my 12 year old up and ready for school so she can be out the door and at her bus stop by 6:50am. Then I will wake my 5 year old to have her up and ready to be out the door by 7:35am by this tiem my other 2 daughters are waking up. Once I get back in the house I start getting my 8 year old readying by doing her hair, making sure she is matching and clean looking. My 14 year old is big enough to get herself ready lol. The 14 year old is out the door by 8:15am and the 8 year old is out the door by 8:20am.. Once I know all children have made it on their buses i will begin my errans for the day and whatever needs to be done around the house until the first child walks in the door at 2:50pm

Mine is usually very low key because I homeschool, so that makes things easy. At least in the morning. My 3 yr old usually wakes me up around 6, but he'll lay in bed with me until nearly 7. Then we get up and have some breakfast, his brother is usually up by 7:30. The girls sleep in until 8-8:30 and we start school sometime around 9 most days. School work up to lunch time usually, then just play and read for the rest of the day.

WEll my days seem a lot crazier then everyone elses. I get up at 5:30 with my dh. I make his lunch and send him off at 5:50 to work. I then get to take a shower and wait for my first day care family to arrive at 6:20. AT 6:30 my oldest wakes up. She is pretty independent so I let her be to shower and get herself ready. At 7 my next child arrives and I wake up my middle two girls. Which is a struggle. We fight until about 7:30 not always pretty. Breakfast for daycare and younger kids are at 7:30. I have my 10 year old who marches to the beat of her own drummer and she doesn't do anything on my schedual. I then make lunches and get the two year old dressed. Somewhere in there I try to eat and clean up the mess. I do diapers on the two babies I watch and by 8:40 We try to leave the house to walk to school. I should say inbetween this all my 13 year olds friennds are in the house to walk to school by 7:50. I have to get the dog out and fed as well as our cat. now I need a nap!!! which I don't take.

I have one in college (married), two in high school and one in elementary. Our day starts at 5:00. My daughter prefers to ride the bus and catches it at 6:15. My son (her twin) is slower at getting ready and prefers to be driven. We only live four minutes from the school, so it isn't a big deal for me to drive him. I take him to school at 6:55 (school starts at 7:15). I then come back and finish getting my 3rd grader ready for school and leave at 7:35 to take him and a little girl that rides with us to school.

I am up @ 6:45am, It seem like my kids sleep in during the week and up early on the week-end. So most mornings are a fight, no matter what time they go to bed. So just after 7 I start getting them up usually when My 5 yr old (only girl) hears me she is up, then my youngest boy who is 5 till tomorrow he likes to take his blanket and sit on the couch. My oldest 2 are really hard to get up they are 8 & 10. So I try and get them to eat something and get dressed, teeth hair you know all that fun stuff and out to the bus by 8:15. I try to do lunches the night before so they are done. Oh ya and my husband is way out of town all week so it is just me doing it all and I work outside of the home but only part time thank goodness.

Well ok technically I don't have my 4 kids yet but my 4th is due March 26th next year. For right now I'm enjoying my routine. I get up at 7:30, make coffee and then wake up our oldest for school. While she eats breakfast I get her lunch ready. Our son gets up around 8:30 and then I feed him as I am saying good bye to Nicole for the day. If my husband has a day off I go to the office to work so I get him out of bed so I can go. On the days he does work he's gone by 6:30 so no worries there. Then our youngest (right now) Caitlin generally sleeps until 10 so I have quiet time with Jonathan til then. It's kind of nice right now, it's going to get crazy again with the new baby but with 3 already I'm sure we'll figure out a new routine quickly. :)

My morning starts at 6 am I have to get my husbands lunch fixed, get the girls up and in the shower, then get my son up and in the shower, and somewhere in there Maria gets up and starts asking for a banana. Then we get the girls off to the bus stop, and Alex waits for his bus. After that I feed Maria and I breakfast and start cleaning house.
