Birth Mom is appealing!!!!!!

We wanted to have more children, so we went through MN waiting children, looking to adopt a sib group. We were told about these wonderful children that needed a home, and we went through the process to adopt them, only to find out that the birth mom decided to appeal the decision to have her parental rights taken. We have had these wonderful children in our home for 1 year now, and the children have adjusted so well, that they began calling us mom and dad all on their own. There is a court date in June and thats when we should know something. Has anyone ever gone through something like this before. I would love your feedback.

This is the first time I have logged on this site and it is amazing!
My husband and I are going thru the adoptive process right now also and I have worried about the appealing process.
We are still waiting for the court to terminate P.Rights, ours is in Aug.
We have been assured by the adoptions worker as well as Placement and S.Workers that by the time it has gotten to this point there really isn't much of a chance for P.Mom or Dad to get rights back. The judge goes by the reports of all the workers to what is best for the child.
We also have a sib. group. 2, 3, & 5. Best wishes to you and Please let us know what happens.

I am from florida and my daughters birth mom appealed after a judge terminated her rights, we have had my daughter since 6 weeks of age and it wasnt until a year ago the rights were finally terminated.. 95% of the time when the parents appeal they still lose, the fact that these children are in your home and well adjusted will also help the courts to realize they have made the right decision for these children, The system is far from perfect but luckly it worked in our case, though it was a hard, long journey.
