my name is Jacqui from australia i have a little girl whos 19 months and she has servere hearing loss. she was fitted with hearing aides at 8 weeks and now is up to date with kids her age. would love to talk to any mums with deaf children.

Hi! I have 2 boys, Sam (7years, high frequency deafness in both ears) & Sean (nearly 5, almost completely deaf in his right ear). My boys are doing really well in school & in everyday life, & they don't even think about having a disability stopping them from doing anything! If your confident & don't see it as a negative neither will they. Feel free to ask me any questions or if you need someone to talk to about it.

hello.im abigail.my son Andre,turning 3 tomorrow,has a moderate hearing loss.his been using his hearing aid for almost 6 moths now and its helping it alot.he is also doing speech therapy sessions once a week.and this therapy helped him even more.he still speaks like a 1 yr old but his progressing.

My name is Brenna and my 21 month old daughter, Isabel, was born with profound hearing loss bilateral. She recieved hearing aides at 5 months old, unfortunately it didn't help. So we decided to get a Cochlear Implant. They just activated it November 3. She is doing really well she signs and she does alot of the vowel sounds now.

Hi Jacqui, My 2 1/2 year old little girl has Modarate hearing loss, We have had to test her hearing once a month since she was born to test and see if it is getting worse or better, Not quite the same, but I'm here if you would still like to talk.

Hi Jacqui..my son, Joshua, was born profoundly deaf and received a cochlear implant when he was 19 months old...he's 10 now and doing amazing...talking up a storm and in the 4th grade!
