Mom's "Play Date"

Just wondering if any other mom's are looking for a get together centered around THEM & THEIR interests? I love my husband & the work he does for our family but I do a lot of work too, staying home & raising our children & running our home office. Sometimes I need some adult time or I feel like I'm going to lose my mind. I love my children but they play just fine alone, with each other or with anyone else who might be available. They are certainly not starved for "play dates". Now ME on the other hand....! Well that's a different story!
I'm interested in finding a group of gals who likes to get together spur of the moment & for regular planned activities, with and without the kids & hubbies. Dinner parties, scrapbooking, movie nights, walks, appetizers & drinks, game night, etc...
Is there anyone else out there who wants that kind of social life???!! Just because I'm a mom now doesn't mean I'm not still a woman who enjoys dressing up & going out or getting together for girl time!

About 5 years ago I joined at group of wonderful women who got together once a month for drinks, food and BUNCO. I just recently moved from Maryland to the Houston Texas area and I am sssoooo missing my girls. I hoping and praying to find a new group of women because the other group saved my life. They were always a great pick-me-up when times got too stressed. I highly recommend every mom having a girls night out!!

i also enjoy the adult conversations! i am in a mom's group that meets weekly but wouldn't mind additional adult time (with and without children). i live in Winnipeg, manitoba, canada...where are you?

I'm desperate for this kind of thing! But you probably live on the other side of the world! I live in Australia and do all the things you mentioned (work wise) but we also live in the country on a large farm which is a wonderful thing for my kids and I love it, but it is a bit isolated as well. Hope you find what you're looking for, Bethany.
