My boys are 5 years and 3 weeks apart. They are now ages 7 and 12 yrs old. Fight a lot now but also old enough to play together. Pluses were that we had one kid who could do for himself when the 2nd one was born. Oldest helps a lot with younger one but now the younger one does not "want" help. Is a good age spread I think.

I have 5 year old boy who's been asking for a brother since he could talk!!! We're thinking maybe next year.... (well - who knows if it'll be a brother or sister) so I'm interested to hear about that kind of age gap! All the best for you and your boys!!! :)

I have 2 boys (age 3 and 15 mos) and I love it! I think it was so exciting to know I was having another boy and to see the differences in him versus my first son. Your new little one will really look up to his big brother. Being the only girl AND the mommy makes us extra special!

My son was 5 when I found out I was pregnant with our youngest. That age gap is a blesing and a curse. Great because when Brayden (now 3) was an infant Brock (now 9) always wanted to be a part of everything. Now that they are a little older and the baby is not yet as responsible as his older broter fights breakout. They love each other tons and Brayden really looks up to his older brother but we have to keep reminding Brock that Brayden is looking up to him and wants to do everything he does. They are a kick a lot of the time and Brock likes to play parent. ha
