Would you ever consider having a child even though you had no intention of marrying the father? Ex: picking a great father-figure for the child an agreeing on co-parenting just not marriage or a steady relationship, just two parents?

I personally wouldn't. However keep in mind that you are stuck with the father life. You can't just decided to move across the country etc. He can sue for partial or full custody even if you have a contract/ plan before the birth. So make sure he is the " one", because that realationship will never end.

Wow, that is awesome! I support that decision. Just know that any relationship takes work. Lots of work actually. It is great to have a plan, that's for sure, but no one can predict the future. Raising children is definitely a full time job. I have been raising my children alone. Personally I only liked having the man around when it was for my benefit... Someone to take the kids for a few hours:) It is not fun when he is not on the same page regarding weening from the breast, potty training, and other things. Being a great role model is first and foremost. If the man is intelligent and is willing to learn and grow accordingly, then I say "Go for it!"

So, you want no relationship with the father, just someone to father the child? If that is something that works for both of you...

I would if that is what you want and you have set up a schedule and financial plan with the father. It would be like an agreed divorce before having the baby. Alot of marriages dont work out even with kids so dont let that stop you.
