This is an online group of parents that have children who have Congenital Hypothyroidism. This disease affects 1 in 4000 infants. If left untreated, it can cause mental retardation, little growth, cold hands and feet, and lack of energy among other things. While all these things are scary to think about, it is treatable with the proper dosage of medication. However, this condition will never go away and will require medication for life.
