My husband got stationed in North Carolina im very excited because i really wanna meet other moms/wives/friends but he says that marine/military wives only sit around and basically pick on there husbands so im pretty nervous to be moving. Any advice?

I'm in Havelock, NC. (Cherry Point) and I can tell you I don't just sit around. (In the summer months anyway lol) My husband is a marine he is currently in Twentynine palms,CA. in school.

Destini, not sure what he's talking about. As with any duty station I find that getting out there and developin gyour own circle of friends helps the most. We're stationed at Camp Lejuene and my husband is a sniper. He deploys at least 2x's every 18 months so I find it easier to click with some of the wifes that are in his unit. I also amintaina job outside of the home and the MC and that plus tracking 3 kids all over tends to keep you tied up most of the time. Sure you get lonely when their away but you learn to deal and just enjoy them when their home.

Hope this helps....

that is funny lol. I'm also a marine wife and we are stationed at camp lejuene also!! my husband has been deployed 3 times and deploys again in August for Iraq again. I depend on all my close marine wife friends during deployments! AND we do nothing but support our husbands : ) Everyone I have met have been really down to earth......i wouldn't worry about anything!
