I'm having terrible pain around my knees like they have been wrapped too tight with an ace bandage. The more I walk it feels like the bandage is squeezed tighter and tighter. Tylenol doesn't help and I don't have a doctor where I live currently. I don't even have insurance for a doctor. I'm starting to get depressed about this pain and how I'm having such a hard time getting around my house. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them.

I don't have much advice to offer, but a good Chiropractor can really make miracles happen to relieve pain. I know the squeeze you're talking about, too. Unfortunately all too familiar. I got tremendous relief after my 1st exacerbation...so much so, that I went undiagnosed for another two years! Now, Chiropractic care is as much a part of my regimen as attempting daily exercise. Keep in touch! I sure hope you've found a doc by now!! Just noticed the date on your post!

!Continuing the previous reply:

What state are you in? Because I know in certain states, like Florida, you can go
right to a Pain Mgmt Doctor. I am sure you have some records from a Doctor where you used to live, that they can reference if needed.

Again, good luck,, you are not alone. I know that doesnt help the pain go away. Have you tried Aleve or Ibruprophen (Motrin or Advil)

I had so much pain in my feet and both legs, that I thought I would go crazy. I had such burning and a dull aching pain in both legs. I had to end up going to a Pain Mgmt Doctor. Now with the help of my Pain Mgmt Doctor, I am 75% pain free, although there are days that it is worse, like when a cold front comes or a low pressure-rainy front.

Usually, depending on the State you live in, you will need a referral from your Neuro or Primary Doctor.

Unfortunately, with MS, pain comes with it, in one form or another. I have no insurance right now, but luckily I finally got my Social Security Disability (took 3 yrs). Once I got that they discontinued my Medicade, and I am not eligible for Medicare, until November 2010, so I know what you are going through.

I also understand the pain and how it makes you crazy.....TRUST ME THERE!!! I was at the point I wanted to "cut off my legs".

On the brighter side, if you can get to a Pain Mgmt Doctor, keep in mind that most drug companies have a patient assistance program! Look up on the Internet for patient assistance programs and start getting educated before you go to the doctor.

Good Luck, and feel free to msg me directly or via my facebook email
