For those out there choosing to only have 1 baby, what are your reasons?

My reasons are many. I have a lot of risk factors, had a difficult pregnancy, and labour (43 hours) and I want to be here for the child I have and personally I don't think I could keep up with 2 kids. I love the one I have and  I am very satisfied with the size of my family

I am old! lol

I didn't have my little girl until I was 41

If I was a few years younger then yes, but now at 44 my body just couldn't have it!

I got married at the age of 29 then had my only at the age of 31. My husband is twenty years older. I was happy to have one with four step children.

I have a 5 month old and I dont want another one. I didnt want 1 at first but that changed. After having Jasper I could not possibly go through it again nor do i have a desire for another baby. Many reasons....happy with one, financial, didnt enjoy being pregnant at all, it is hard hard work with one couldnt imagine it with 2 and actually enjoying it BUT everyones is different.

I agree Brandy, I just don't feel the need. I don't have that desire for more children. As well I am looking forward to the day when I can be my own person again. I love my daughter more then anything and give her everything I have, but still want an independent life when she gets older. I don't want to lose any individuality I gain over the years of her getting older just to start all over again with another. Some people think thats selfish or think I'm implying I regret having a baby but thats not true at all. I don't want to spend my life raising children, I want to spend it with my one daughter and enjoy everything with her only.

I had a great pregnancy and no problems with the birthing. I just dont feel I need another child. I grew up in a middle class family but we went w/o a lot of things because we had four girls in our family. I dont want that for my son.   because I grew up w/ 3 sisters people think I should give that chance to my son.   However should I change my mind.... I would adopt a tot or preschooler.

I'm happy with having my one child. My reason for never wanting to have another is because the pregnancy was horrible and painful. The birth was a c-section, and three days later I pretty much died. So no more kids for me D:

i only have one child to and i neva want anymore eva ... it hurts 2 much gettin them out . and ur rite people do look at u funny .people say aww u will forget the pain , well i havent its been 2 years now and i remeber it like it was yesterday lol
