Happy 2010 to all of you! I encourage each of you to share your stories and concerns with the rest of us. Only through sharing with each other can we find (1) a sense of community, (2) that we are not alone in our struggles, (3) that we can provide support and encouragement to one another.

You may be surprised the friends you may make through this community. I have met friends from all over the world through this group, and I look forward to making more!

let's hope so. My 14 year old son Matt is diagnosed with PDD-NOS, cognitive disorder-NOS, psychotic disorder-NOS, TBI due to lead poisoning and intermitten explosive disorder. I just got him excepted for a full nueropsych evaluation with hopes he can be placed in a residential rehabilitation center close to my home. I cannot control him and I have become afraid of him. If he does not get his way he becomes aggressive and destructive. He is very big for his age, almost 6 feet tall and 210 pounds. I fear what will happen to him if he doesn't get help soon. I am constantly being turned down by agency after agency because they say he does fit into their programs. What else am I to do? I refuse to sit by and watch my son end up in a locked facility or worse jail because no one cared enough to help him.
