7 year old peeing

I have a 7 year old boy who is having SERIOUS issues with behavior. He gets in trouble almost every day at school, and the past two days his teacher ahs said he has been out of control, completely. Last week, he started peeing on thigns. In his bed, in a laundry basket, and today even on his SISTER (she's 4) I am at my wits end, and no fornm of punishment or talking-to seems to help. The more we do, the more he does... I know I'm not the only one who has had this problem, and I am hoping maybe someone will have some sort of insight as to what on earth I can do to stop him from being this way.... He is such a bright kid, very smart and VERY artistic and creative. I dont want him to lose his way, if that makes any sense.

Have you talked to your son's dr about his behavioral problems? I would definitely start there about his behavior. As for the peeing on things and his sister, that behavior would be unacceptable regardless of any medical diagnosis. You've mentioned that discipline hasn't helped, but you haven't indicated what you have done. If he has his own room, I'd take every single thing that he has out of it except for his bed and dresser for clothes. If he wants his things back, he would need to earn them back little by little. If he relapses, what he has earned will get taken away again. The thing with 7 year olds, they are very clever. You need to be consistent, and direct with whatever you are going to do. If you're not, they will see right through that.

My almost 4 year old son thinks it's hilarious to pee on me or his sisters.... IN the shower though. I'd definitely be seeking professional help if he would just randomly start peeing on things though.



Have you tried not punishing and not really saying much about it except making him clean it up? That might help until you can get him in to a doctor.

Thanks Michelle, I have seen a lot of posts about younger boys and girls (4-5 year olds) doing this, but never any children as old as he is. I knwo it isnt normal, and honestly I am worried sick about it. I have been calling doctors in the area (we didnt get insurance until a month ago, so we havent gotten a new doctor for him yet) (we moved back home 6 months ago) I believe he has ADHD, but I have never heard of a child his age (even with ADHD) doing something like this. I mean... He PEED on his SISTER! ?!?!?!?!?!?!

These are not normal behaviors for a 7 year old, I would be going and talking to his doctor about these issues to get his opinion on your sons behavior there could be something medical that you need to get looked after
