Hi there,

My son is 6 this month, and I have noticed that he has both bottom front teeth growing in behind his baby teeth. His baby teeth aren't the slightest bit loose. I am taking him to the dentist but I am wondering......Has anyone experienced this? And, what was the outcome???

Thanks

Hi! Im very worry my six years old daughter grew only two bottom front baby teeth instead of four, i tough that this was normal but now that her adult teeth are coming out it seems that this persists, i had some X-rays done and it show just two adults teeth instead of the normal four, what can be done? Is this out of the ordinary?

My eldest had that happen too, and my mum said she was the same. DD1 didn't get teeth until after she was one, then didn't lose any until she was 7.5, but most of her adult teeth came through before she lost the baby teeth they were meant to replace. I had her at a dentist who was pretty casual about it and just said she should wobble the baby teeth as much as possible to help them come out. I think she had one baby tooth that refused to budge and the dentist took that one out... and she has one baby tooth left now at 15. I know 2 people that have baby teeth and are adults, in both cases the baby tooth is behind the adult teeth. DD1's baby teeth mostly moved forwards so she had a few problems with them aggrivating her gums, hence the dentist removing one.

My 5 year olds were like that for almost 5 months before got loose. Then she lost the bottom two the same day. Our dentist said that he would give it 6 months and then pull them, thankfully they came out on their own. My son is 6 and has only lost one tooth, it was a pretty stressful day for him when his little sister lost two lol!

my son had one tooth grow in before the other was loose. We just let it progress and eventually they fell out. No problems yet with the new ones good luck
