My 5 year old son has always been "busy" but over the past year his mood and behaviour have spiralled out of control. He has started acting out physically against himself and us. We never know what will set him off now or how extreme it will become.
I have been trying to monitor his mood/behaviour after eating processed foods or foods with additives/preservatives in excess. I believe there may be a connection and am wondering if anyone out there has similar experiences.
Today especially.... husband gave a packaged noodle soup for lunch and about 2 hours later he was out of control and uncontrollable. Is there a connection here? We will be seeing a paediatric doctor for the first time next week because our family doctor has become a dead end.
We are having to use Melatonin to calm him down and he has started anger management classes to learn how to express his feelings.
HELP. We are at a loss and feel like we have failed. It feels so wrong that my 5 year old boy is having to deal with such extreme anger.

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

I have a neighbor who has an intolorence with milk and it causes him to have SERIOUS anger issues... I thas something to to with the casamorphene in the milk... and really you'd be surpirsed with how many products have milk in them... Check out the "not milk man" online I know he's a little out there but some of his stuff can hit home.

Hi i'm not sure if this will help, but he sounds alot like my Big brother when we where growing up he would be violent to us, set things on fire for the fun of it, i remember being at school one day and my eldest brother got him out in a game of cricket well he decided that it was a good idea to throw a stick at my brother in pure anger, spit his eye open. anyways mum and dad discovered he was allergic to alot of foods, additives, everything he even couldn't eat apples because of the stuff sprayed on them when growing, i would suggest getting allegie test done on ur son, my parents reckon that if he was a child of today he would hhave been diagoned with ADHD, so hopefully this is just another thing they can look at as well, hope this helps a little good luck...
