Any tips on dealing with a 4 year old attitude, he has started talking back and not listening!

This is a tough time for you and your child. I have 3 kids and the youngest is 5. All 3 of them have gone through this and my youngest is still in it. Believe me, this too shall pass but it definitely takes time and patience. Just remember that when he is pushing your buttons. Deep breaths and walking away to take a break is a big help. Good luck!

I count to 3 and he just looks at me, I do time out right now and he is a smart boy are looks at me and says but thats what I want to do! He used to be so sweet and now when he doesn't get his way he throws himself down so I pick him up and put him in time out and then he screams at the top of his lungs. It is just so frustrating he used to do what was asked and be so sweet and use his manners all the time and now I just don't know I am loosing my patients. But I will def. try the naughty mat. Thank you

Have you tried the naughty mat? My son is 8 and it still works! Sounds too simple but it works. One minute for each year. So for your 4 year old it would be 4 minutes. Give the warning starting at "That's one, or two, or three." After three, he goes to the mat. It helped us, but a smart child is always a challenge.
