The only problem with phentramine is that after you come off of it your appetite goes back to being the same. It's only if you change your lifestyle will you truly change your body....I know I know its hard to hear that you have to eat right and exercise but you really do. If you do one of the fad diets then yes your going to have results but unless you realize and learn what packed it on to begin with you will not drop it and keep it off. I went to one doctor who was a straight shooter. He said your fat pretty much because your lazy and you eat too much and that hurt but its what I needed to hear. I was eating too much and I was lazy. I kept looking for quick fixes and kept getting the same results. Some weight loss and then alot of weight gain. Walking is great. Doing work outs where you keep a steady pace is great. I lost 90 lbs when I finally swallowed the last bad thing, my pride. and did what the doctor said which is no rocket science. You know what you should do , you just got to get UP and DO IT!!!!!!!!

I am with ya girl, only difference is that my youngest is 6. I have lost 60lbs in 7 months doing weight watchers. The top things that I have learned is make sure you drink 48 oz of water daily, only eat a portion size, and move more. I bought ankle weights and wear them when I walk and when I am cleaning house. I turn on fast music when I clean which motivates me to move more. I also sweep my carpets and floors daily now just for extra exercise. I also park my van farther from store which gets me in a little more walking. Be creative and it can be fun to lose the weight, hope this helps, Good Luck you can do it!

Try www.sparkpeople.com It is a website to help you keep track everything. It will tell you how many calories, fat grams, & carbs to eat a day to lose 2 lb. a week. There are many support groups on the site as well. I did sparkpeople and exercised with Turbo Jam and lost 30 lb. in 2 months. I have gained some back, but thats cause I have fell off the program due to many circumstances. Anyway, it is a wonderful site and it is free too.

I recently went to the doctor with the same problem. There are a few things you can try. One is to detoxify you body. Your colon holds alot of waste in which can make it hard to lose wait. Second, try Acai berry. It's a special berry from the amazon that help your metabolism to lose wait. Also, count calories and do some type of work out for about a half hour everyday. I'm gonna try this myself and see how it works. I did some investigating and found alot of women to have lost weight and have gone back to their before baby weight.

Always eat breakfast, dont snack in between meals & cut portion size, its the only way, I let myself have a day off 1 day a week, that way I can look forward to it & dont stray during the week.

if you have insurance after my sencond son. i have to see a metobolism problem. there is weight loss speicalists. your ob can give u a referal. if that is what u would like. i was put on this mircle meds call phertramine. i was only on it for a couple months to get me started on the major spots and then i took my self off of it and learned my diets. its a good start. it makes u have energy and cuts alot off ur appitite! just an idea!!!

I dont believe in diets, you should never deny yourself any food group. I never had a problem losing the weight but my friend did. Just limit your portions. If you want a cookie eat 1 dont eat 6. Everything in moderation. If you crave it your body needs something in it. My friend has lost 30 lbs with this approach.

This is how I do it when I want to lose. Especially after I had my kids. I always gained so much with them.



Before breakfast, lunch & dinner drink this mixture.



8oz of water.

1 TBS of Apple cider vinegar mixed in 6oz Grapefruit juice. (This tastes nasty and makes you want to gag, but it burns the fat).



Make sure to have a small snack like fruit or veggies after breakfast & lunch. A small dessert after dinner.



Workout, by walking, jogging, riding a bike. Anything that gets you moving.



This is just my opinion. And you should always check w/a doctor before doing anything, but it has helped me lose up to 60 pounds.



I started doing it when I was 15 & was 189 lbs. I dropped down to 125 lbs.

I kept the weight off until I started having my children. After each one was born, I would do this diet.

I've used this method for years and it works for me. Just remember not to drink too much water, cuz that will make you bloated.

I have had the same problem. I had my son eight years ago and started to lose the weight from him, as soon as it started dropping I got pregnant again. Then started losing the weight and got pregnant again! Now the youngest is two and it just didnt want to come off! We have a wii and I got the wii fit. You would be surprised how much that helps! It is exercise, but it is also a game and keeps you engaged. I also kept a food journal and found that I was eating a lot more than I thought (an extra tater tot the kids left on the plate, etc.).

Personally, counting carbs or calories is too much of a hassel for me. I just eat a handful of baby carrots or celery before lunch and dinner, reduced the portion size, and started eating breakfast, combined with 30 minutes a day on the wii fit and lost ten pounds in two weeks!

Just stop eating the junk and picking on all the little things. No soda, cake, macaroni. Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. You should eat dinner alone. Earlier then the family so you won't overeat and you can actually taste your food. The microwave dinners are pretty good also. Drink water before every meal, it will help fill you up. Do it know before the holidays and by then you will have lost some weight and be used to eating this way. No stress.

I swear by slimming world. I love my food and really struggle with diets but with slimming world you can actually eat as much as you want (of the right stuff!!) and still lose weight. I recently lost just under 50lbs and my family had most of the food with me too so I didn't have to cook different meals.

Don't focus on losing weight. Focus on being healthy and making lifestyle changes that are centered on making a healthier you. You will find that when you start doing things for the health benefits..ie..walking every day, eating veggies instead of pasta, getting enough sleep, and in general taking care of yourself, the pounds will start to melt away. I lost 50 pounds in 3 months by refusing to go on a diet. I am NOT saying that will happen for you, but you will be amazed at what can happen when you take the pressure off of losing weight and focus on making changes that make you feel good. Good luck.

I was 250 in April and I'm very proud to say that I'm now at 210 and counting. You will be VERY surprised at the kinds of foods that you're eating that you shouldn't. Sugar. Its in everything! If you can almost eliminate sugar and really watch your carbs that will help. Go heavy on the protein. I'm not saying eat steak all day and I'm NOT a nutritionist. You need a balanced diet and some exercise. Depending on how much you want to lose and how quick, go out and walk 2 or 3 times a week, but it doesn't count unless you really get your heart rate up. Its really hard to change your way of thinking. Its a lot like quiting smoking. You have to be ready, mentally, to be in 'that place' and really commit. It took me a good 60 days to finally get in the habit and to really conform to a new life style. You can do it. Just be patient and stay positive. Also, get a scale. I refused to have one in my house for almost 10 years, but I swear - it really helps. When you see those first 5 pounds go away, you'll be encouraged to want to continue. Just don't get discouraged if you put a pound or 2 back on here and there. Good luck!!!

Have you tried counting calories? Check out this website that helps you keep track of your calories, exercise activities, and weight loss. http://caloriecount.about.com/

The website will give you simple exercise that you can do without the expensive workout equipment. I've lost 34 lbs since May. Try it out and good luck.

There is the usual - eat healthy blah blah blah. Try keeping a food diary for a couple of days about everything you put in you eat - that bit of cheese you slice off for yourself while cooking etc. You may be surprised at how much you really eat. Try decreasing your portion size, for example stop seconds once that is done, don't put quite as much on your plate. But don't starve yourself either. Try for at least 30min of walking everyday. You want to walk at a pace where you are still able to hold a conversation and not be breathless. Soon you will be walking for ages so step up to jogging etc.



Try yoga or pilates for core strength, can really flatten the stomach - I just have a dvd i follow at home. Dont expect the weight to come off biggest loser style, those guys are training for several hours a day and are strictly monitored. Don't really expect more than 1kg a week, and even that is on the high side (sorry I don't know how many pounds it is).



The biggest problem I find is staying motivated, so if you can find an exercise buddy that way when you are feeling less motivated you have someone to help you keep the momentum going. Make housework an part of your exercise routine so when scrubbing the bath use your whole arm and tighten those muscles. If you have stairs walk or jog up them to increase your heart rate etc etc, be creative, heavy saucepan/child/ren as weights
