Half my family are football nuts My Mom,Brother and 10 year son.. Dad and sister and Myself are not. My Brother Played Football in High school and in Collage and was really good He won two State Titles in High school "He gave my Mom one his rings Which My mom still to this day wears and has tell everyone she Meets" He also played for Air Force in collage. My son plays Football and for his size he is pretty good. But he is small for a 10 year old he is the size of 8 year old. I do not want him to get hurt when He gets older. My brother is 38 and looks like he 48 "sorry Mike". He is all beat up from playing and him and My Mom just laugh it off because He won two state titles. To me football isnt all that. I Tried talking son in playing soccer I just get the eye rolls. But I do not want him to get hurt like so many kids are and have problems the rest of his life or am I just a sissy Mom.

being physically active is very imp for the growth of a child... but let him follow his heart... whether he chooses, skating or football or rugby or tennis let him go... remember when he started walking first... hemust have fallen down a few times and then learnt to walk even after that... ur son will learn to defend and fight back always... do not get ur fear come in between... support him and boost his confidence...all the best

I gave my son the choice of what sport her wanted to play. Football isnt as dangerous as hockey or lacross.
