Daughter's 8th Birthday Party, please help

My children's father and I are no longer together. I am planning a party for my daughters 8th birthday. I will be paying 100% for the party. Do i have to invite her father to the party. I invited her father to my youngest birthday party and it was a diaster, he brought his mother his brother and his brothers girlfriend. I paid for the entire party and he made the party all about him. I want to be able to enjoy my daughter 8th birthday party as much as her. Is it wrong of me to not tell him about the party and if he asks to tell him he is not welcome.

I don't think you need to invite him, I do think it's nice that even when apart a Childs parents can still come together for the child but i think if your not feeling it and you've given it a go then tell him you want to do your own thing with her and he's welcome to sort something else out with his own family.
