My son has had nose bleeds almost everyday for the last week, the Dr.is not worried but i am getting annoyed with it .We humidify the kids room and put a nose jelly in his nose but besides that is there something i can do to prevent it???

Don't worry too much. My daughter gets them a lot. We live in a dry climate. It's important that he stays hydrated. Make sure he drinks plenty of water.

I son has the same problem! we would pack his nose with Jelly and he would still get them... When he gets them and they wont stop....Try this put pressure on the gums above the big front teeth and the bleeding will slow down the the cloths will start! For my son we ended up going to an ENT and she Corterized his nose we no longer have them!

Over the summer my daughter started to get nose bleeds at cheerleading pratice. Once it took us about 20 minutes to stop and it was gushing out of her nose. When we took her to the doctor she told us that being dehydrated was one of the reasons she was getting the nose bleeds and to try to get her to drink more water during the day. Also my son will usually get them in the winter when his skin dries out. It has something to do with the blood vessels in your nose getting thin when your skin gets dry. He can just sneeze and his nose will start to bleed. I've also noticed that he picks his nose when he sleeps so that can be a cause too. When they get a nose bleed pinch the bridge of his nose tightly and put his head forward. If you tilt their head back all the blood goes down the throat and into their stomach and they could start puking up the blood. I learned that the hard way..it was gross!!! ...hope this helps

Mayb get a second opinion from another doctor. There must be a reason behind it. Is he over heating? Is it triggered by anything in particular? or completely random?
