My son is 4 1/2 and one of his front bottom teeth is loose. Is this okay? Im not sure. Ive checked a couple of websites and get some mixed answers. Any advice til i can talk to the pediatrician. Thanks.

no problem at all. my daugther is almost 8 and her tooth development are at a age of 10. she was 4 months when she starts getting them and start loosing them with 4 years old. She got a small jaw so we have to keep an eye on her growing. For everybody else, i hope they keep them as long as possible.

My daughter did the same thing and I freaked. I called the dentist and he asked me "when did she get her first tooth?" and I said at 3months she got 2 up and 2 down. He said the sooner they get them the sooner they lose them. Made total sense!!! Don't forget the "tooth fairy"!!!

My daughter has lost five teeth so far, just turned six. She had no top teeth at Christmas at age 5 1/2 and had lost the bottom two before age five and the all the new ones came in fine and straight so far. Dentist said it was fine and that some kids start loosing teeth as early as 4.

its fine, my daughter will be 6 in Dec. and her total tooth lose count is 6, and she never bumped them at all from what I know. She lost her 2 bottom teeth a few months before she was 5 and they grew in real nice, we are waiting for the other 4 to grow in right now.

my daughter lost her 2 front teeth at 3 from jumping on the bed!!!! if his tooth is loose because he bumped it he will need a xray to make sure that his adult tooth hasnt been hurt!!!

i asked the same question of my sons dentist. he just turned 5 and did it with out his front teeth. he has had bad teeth since he was little from antibiotic use he has had 4 root canals and countless filling so we are no strangers to the oral surgon and dentists office she said they would fall out younger and he may have no teeth for a while and that was fine so my toothless little boy will start kindergarten that way and i asked and it will be ok since he lost them i have also meet other moms that their kids have lost them at 4 and 5 and they had no dental problem and their grown up teeth are fine no worries
