Father Son Disconnection

Dear Readers
I am in need of advise on helping my son and his father my husband get along better. My son just turned four and he has been acting very distant to my husband. My son will call his fater by his actual name rather then calling him dad, they seem to constantly be batteling with each other because my son does not listen to my husband and any time my husband tells him to do something he runs to me for my approval. My son wants nothing to do with his dad any time I ask him if he wants to go hang out with dad he tells me no and if I make him its a screaming fit to get him to, this is partialy I know from the fact that my husband spends very lil time with him, and interacting. I am basicly at my wits end on what to do plus i am five months pregnaunt and have no energy for the constant battles. Any advice would be great.

This is unusual behavior for a 4 year old, so I don't think you have a simple disciplinary problem on your hands. It sounds like something happened between the two of them to sever the relationship. Family counseling might be your best bet.
