My son will be starting preschool this year and I'm just wondering what all he needs to know, I feel he's really smart already I'm just concerned I've maybe left something out, this is my first child to go to school!! =) Any feedback, suggestions, advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

i've worked in the school system for 4 years now and my son is in kinder this year.. basically at the end of preschool they have to be able to write their name, colors, shapes, letters and if he's advanced on that you can start with the sounds.. also the numbers up to at least 30, be able to count and write those numbers. Also, in the beginning for kinder for my son, the teacher gave them few exercises to help with writing letters, so they have to know how to make straight lines, slanted, curved. Thats pretty much the basic learning in preschool.
