We had my daughter sleep on the couch. She would come up in the middle of the night and is a bed hog. Finally, we said she could sleep on the couch and after a few times she mostly stays on her bed. She is the youngest of 3. Good Luck.

My son was the same way.It took a lot of work to get him in his own room. You have to take him to bed, read your story and say your goodnights. When he gets up you have to just tell your child its bedtime and place him back in his bed.Do not give your child lots of reasons to questions just let him know its bedtime. After your child understands that he will not get his way with you you should have no problems getting him to stay in his room. It will take alot of work. It took about a weeks time for us. Good luck and I hope you the best.

well you cant lock him in his room but this is what we have done with our 6 year old daughter cuz she wouldnt sleep in her room either she would come into bed with us in the middle of the night we started locking our door and it has worked even though a couple of times she went in her 3 year brother's room but it worked she no longer comes into our room at night she now stays in her bed all night so we then unlocked our door

have u tried allowing him 2 stay in your room until he falls asleep & then putting him in his own bed, or maybe staying in his room w/ him until he goes 2 sleep?

Hahahhahaa.... I'm sure you won't like my answer, but I, personally, enjoy having my son still in my room in his bed, of course. He's my 3rd, and the way I figure. Sooner or later, he's going to be TOO BIG to be even spending time with his mother let alone give me kisses and hugs, because it's ewwwwww..... I'm just enjoying the last ride....
