I have tried it all you name and I have tried it!!!! I'm exasperated he is supposed to start preschool in the fall and I don't want him to poop his pants at school or have to wear a pull up......I am at a loss!!!

Have you tried letting him go with his underwear/pull-up off?

the peeing thing is going great, he hasn't had a pee accident in like forever......I think that I am going to take away the game boy cuz it'a a "big boy" toy until he poops in the potty and then get him a new game too. Not sure if it will work but gonna try it.

Did you try footloops and letting use his private part as a squirt gun? The other one I tried was my older son liked Free Willy so I told him that is was okay and that it was going to swim with Free Willy! I know silly but it did work!!

my daughter wouldn't even sit on her potty at first but we decorated it with stickers so it seemed fun and we made a sticker chart for the wall so she got to put one up every time she used it i also put her on it to try every half an hour or so especially if she was playing she got used to it and was dry after a few weeks in the day i trained her at night after that with completely taking her pull ups off her and put a plastic sheet on her bed and her potty in her room she is 4 now and hasn't wore pull ups for a year the best thing is also to really congratulate them when they do go they feel proud of them selves for being a big boy/girl .

Bribe your kid. We offered to get our 3 yr old a mini dirt bike if he started using the potty and not the diapers. Within 1 month he was totally potty trained. And he loves riding his dirt bike (with training wheels and a helmet of course).

We dont' use pull ups for anything other than bed and has been that way for the better part of a year....He uses big boy underwear already. We have tried, tatoos, stickers, candy, toys, special seat that goes on the big potty, and I have even tried letting the older boy take him to the potty to see if he will poop. He knows that it's where the poopy goes but chooses to poop in his pants. He can sit there forever and not go and the minute you let him up he will do it in his underwear and tell you he's poopy. When you ask him where the poopy goes he will tell you in the toilet but won't do it....

you really need to just be patient and keep at it. I stopped buying diapers and pull up all together and took my son to the store to pick out his own big boy undies..and of course he had accidents. I would keep putting him on the potty every half hour and tell him this is now where you have to go. Every time he did go I would reward him..kinda like a puppy..lol.. but I was like you too at my wits end nearly until my mother in law and sister in law told me this idea. I would even stock up on little hot wheel cars cause they are his favorite and when he did poop he would get rewarded with that. Boys are harder to train..my daughter was fully trained at 2 yrs..but boys are just slower to catch on. I also first trained my son to pee sitting down. Just dont leave the house with out a change on cloths if you do decide to stop the diapers and pull ups all together.. i found it easier to do it that way so he wouldnt get confused. good luck!
