My daughter is having her 5th birthday party next month, and I am planning it now so I won't be too stressed before then..It is my first major out of the family party for the her. It will have to be inside because of the heat. It will be a Ni Hao Kai Lan theme party. ( For those who don't know, think Chinese Dora with better parenting skills.) There will be around 12 kids counting her and her older brother. Ages 3 - 9. We actually own a small bounce house that will fit in the building we are using, that about 3 - 4 kids can play in at a time, so I know that is going have to be watched and let the kids take turns, thinking about putting balls in there for more fun. I have 4 different crafts ideas: different color paints in gallon freezer bags duct taped to the table...finger paint without the mess, then I going to have water color coloring sheets, two or three different types per kid, make a card for the birthday girl with color, stamps, stickers, etc. And then lastly making different masks of the characters of the show with everything already cut out, they just have to decorate and put together. Then I'm planning on having an area that the children can choose to watch the show set up. I know written out like that it sounds a lot but it is mainly crafts, do I need different ideas like actually games, and how about the age range? Will the older kids get bored? Oh and at the end of the party a pull string type pinata!
