I do about 7 loads a week.
I have 2 children and one husband who lies his clothes on the ground before getting in to bed.
Even if they are not dirty. So I have to wash them anyway.

8 to 10 - but we have a front loading washer with a large capacity. My mother in law has a top loader, and it would be at least 15 loads in her machine.

We're a family of six, and we don't buy disposable paper products so I also have to do a large load of kitchen towels and cloths (since we don't buy paper towel) and a load of family cloth since we don't buy toilet paper.

I do about 13 loads of washing per week, not including the overalls that i have to wash twice to get it presentable. a family of 5 which gives you more than enough washing for the whole week!

I do five loads of laundry twice a week. My oldest does her own laundry, and when I get behind on my bedding I'l just go to the laundromat .....plus I hate to put large comforters in my machine.

OH THERE IS THAT WORD LAUNDRY!!!!!! I dread doing it....if I don't do 2 to 3 loads every night by the end of the week I have to do 21 loads once I did not do it and I tell you it took me 3 days to do it....I hate doing it but someone in this house needs to do it!!!!! The funny thing is regardless if you think about every night when the kids go to bed there is another load waiting for you do!

We are a family of 5 and I do laundry every other day or it will pile up like crazy. I separate, wash, dry & iron, but my 9 & 11 year old fold and hang up their own clothes, which helps a lot. I also wash all bedding once a week and pillows every 2 weeks. I taught my family to change their washcloths every day, but use their towel for one week. That has cut down on a lot of laundry.

I don't want to horrify anybody here, but if the laundry is really getting you down, you could try dropping your standards!

eg only change the sheets and towels every 2 weeks and suddenly your life will be easier!

And as for school clothes, at the end of each day I check them and if they're not visibly grubby, they get worn again the next day.

No point killing ourselves!

Laundry....ugh is right! It varies from 1-2 per day all the way to 5-6 a day if I don't stay on top of it. Then there's the bedding...ugh ugh again! At least the potty training has been over for a while now so it's not quite as bad as it was ....I don't miss those days....It's me, my husband, and my 2 kids....4 & 5 (almost 5 & 6)...

With my hubby, myself and 4 BOYS I find myself doing about 20-25 loads a week. Yes, that includes the bedding once a week!

Well laundry is one of those chores that is never ending once you have kids. I do 3 loads of laundry on Wednesdays and 3 to 4 loads of Saturdays. And on Sundays I wash all the bedding in the house, so I guess in total I do 10-12 loads a week. I am very organized person so everything has a schedule of when I do the chores. It keeps me sane and organized and that way I always have time for my boys.

well my husband and I divide it up. He does the washing and I do the folding. LOL!
We usually do about 5-6 loads a week for a family of 4.
I rank it right up there with emptying the dishwasher- another task that is never done!

Well, i just continuously do laundry. I have at least 2 loads a day. More on weekends. I'm always doing laundry. My mother-in-law seems to think we never do laundry, because she always makes a comment about us always having dirty laundry in the laundry room. I think she forgot how much there is when there are 3 children in the house and a husband in construction(hate red dirt). Hate doing the chore, but love the smell of clean laundry.

Wow I thought we would be up there... but I only do 2-3 a day... with 5 kids I thought we would be at the top of the list, boy was I wrong. LOL

The weekend is when I catch up on bedding and towels ect...right now we don't have anyone potty training so bedding is not a daily chore. I really am not looking forward to that again :-)

I've lost count of the loads of laundry I do per week. I have 2 girls and a husband- work clothes, play clothes, sport clothes and swimming towels (training 4x per week), bedding etc ect ect!!!! I think I'd scare myself if I actually put a number to it. Glad to see that I'm not alone :)

I’m a freak… I love doing laundry. I wash a load at least once a day, usually 2 or 3 just for the stress relief factor. There’s something so soothing to me about getting a pile of clothes fresh from the dryer and folding them neatly and placing them in their correct drawers or hanging them up in order of type of clothing and color. I’m not anal retentive about anything else but don’t you dare mess up my laundry… Something about being obsessive over laundry makes me feel a little more in control of my chaotic life.

ROFL Laura. My DP doesn't separate laundry so I typed up a list and pinned it on the wall. He still managed to put at least one thing from each list in a single load - ie a white towel, delicates and kids clothes in a normal cycle - eek. I said it's not that I don't appreciate the help but I had to de-pill my good black pants because they were covered in fluff from the towel ;)

I also have a certain way of hanging my washing on the clothes line, (underwear and socks on the inner line, then baby clothes, and working out in size... I plan it at the start of the day depending on what needs to be washed) DP does it completely opposite! I had to bite my tongue there too.

Oh the dreaded laundry!! I do at least 1 -2 loads a day depending. It's me, my fiance and our two little girls. We have work clothes, school clothes, play clothes and everything else. It's just a never ending cycle!!

I only have one child and between him, my boyfriend and myself I find myself doing at least 7 loads a week, and then bedding takes up 3 loads on Sunday. I used to wash the bedding twice a week but it became too much! The main reason is because my boyfriend and I have our day clothes and our work clothes and my son has his school clothes and his play clothes and then we all have our PJ's. I am also very anal if clothes touch the floor. If something clean hits the floor I wash it again.

I average a load a day - a full load in a 5kg machine. I don't wash every day though, so some days I do 2-4. I also have 4 kids... but I only do the bedding once a week (unless there's a reason, like if someone is sick) I hate towels, someone is always putting clean towels on the bathroom floor and they get saturated.

(My least favourite household chore is dishes though LOL)

I completely agree! My laundry room always has something going -- never clear of clothes! I estimate that I do about 10 loads a week... and that's with only two little girls!

ugh laundry! My most dreaded chore! I have four kids and a husband so it is never ending here. I usually do 2 or 3 loads a day, one day of that though is purely bedding which is about 5 loads. So I guess at least 20 loads a week. It would probably be better if I wasn't obsessed with dressing my kids nicely head to toe everyday lol!
