1 box of salt, a good blender, and a shaker

pour 1/2 of the box of salt into the blender and blend until it's a fine powder. Sprinkle it into your carpet and wait 2-4 days, then vacuum. Works every time. It also works on furniture and pets. The plus side...it's cheap, easy and doesn't smell!!

make sure that your anamals can't under your house with loose dirt... that's where the fleas love to live... if you can't block that off put lime down... and in your grass...that's stop fleas...inside tee tree oil is good for animals to wash in..for carpets too.. good luck sweetie..

if you do the bug bomb or whatever, do it twice about a week apart. Cause the eggs they laid will have hatched, and you'll need to kill them too.

We had the council pest control come in but it had to be done twice (free if on housing benefit). Also brought flea spray from a vet. Shop stuff not as affected. The one from the vet lasts a year in the house, kills every insect. You get no spiders for a year(well you get dead ones)

If u have carpeting, use a boric acid powder such as FleaBusters & follow the directions on the package. Regularly vacuum & make sure all your animals are on a monthly flea treatment like Advantage or Frontline.

We have had problems with fleas a couple of times, we usually just buy one of those bug bombs and set two off one day when we know we are going to be out all day. It works but it does smell for awhile. Good luck they are a pest.

Thanx Kristy, I have tried it but my carpets are wet now is that normal? I also put salt in the twins cots and everything is wet (damp) it feels like if you at the ocean when everything is damp it feels the same.
