He will be entering Kindergarten this September and I am so behind the eight ball with making a decision or even getting him enrolled somewhere. Any suggestions on finding stats on local schools or schools period... I live in Delaware County and am clueless... I should have moved to KOP!!!

Definately check out the great schools website that was recomended.....Personally I went to public schools and didn't care to put my kids thru it....and I went to several different ones due to my father being in the Army. My daughters go to a Charter school - I love it, they don't put up with too much crap from the bad apples...its three strikes and they're out - I think that's a good thing for those students ready and willing to learn, plus the class size is alot smaller than public school classes - at least in my area (FL). I am very pleased with their school. My daughters are now going into first and fourth grade. We have a state test in Florida ( FCAT), that the kids have to pass or they fail that grade level - I'm proud to say my oldest scored the highest grade in the county =). I recommed Charter schools - if you have any nearby.

www.greatschools.com will give you a list of schools including test scores, rating, demographics, etc etc.

I have a 13 year old, 11 year old, and a 4 year old...all of which have been or in a Montessori school. I am also a 4th -6th grade teacher at the school. I am sure if you google schools in your area you can look up each school's report card, will tell you about demographics and their current test scores.
