Hi Julie, I have 4 kids aged 9, 7, 4 and 2 and a half.
My 7 year old daughter loves to read, I just hit all the op shops and bought her every copy of The Babysitters Club books in town!

My 6 year old son also loves to read. He is in kindergarten and is just blossoming! We enjoy reading together and going to the library to pick out books. He also discovered his school library and goes there several mornings a week before class starts.

I get my books from red house bookclub , & from school link which commission goes to my children's school so it helps boost the school funds as well , my children love reading .if you want a friend Julie add me as a face book friend if you wish any one else can too .Waterstones is also a place that sells good children's books too. Any one else can add me as their face book friend too if you want too.

Hi Julie! How wonderful that your daughter loves to read. Books can take her anywhere she wants to go. I am the mother of a 7 year old boy who also loves to read and I too have the same problem about friends and friends with kids. I have found that getting involved with my sons school is a great way to meet people who have kids the same age range as mine.....plus it gives me something outside of the house to do :) For all of those moms of kids who love to read I would check out the website www.paperbackswap.com That is where I get all of my sons books.....it is so much cheaper than buying them new plus we can get rid of the books that he doesnt read anymore. My son will be 6 in may, and I just wanted to say Hi! like your daughter my son is great to have around. He comes from school and wants to help me around the house. he's just started to read, but his elder brother who is 8, is a great reader and I see signs of my 6 year old following his elder brother. my 2 year old loves to mess the place. My son's teacher calls him "teacher's helper".

I am an avid reader but only 1 of my 3 children got the reading bug from me :( I'm glad you have a great reader - it makes life so much better for them. All of my children have always read well above grade level, I just haven't been able to find anything that interested #1 and #3.........

Hi I have 4 children aged 8, 7, 5& 3 my 2 oldest are book worms , my 2 youngest love books too . reading is so good for children . I will be your friend just as me as a friend on face book .

Hi julie, I have four kids 11, 9, 4, and 11 months - my two oldest are great reader it's hard sometimes keeping them supplies with enough books. But it helps them so much with their school work and means that they always have something to do.
If your looking for friends try joining as many communities as you can - I'm not sure where you're from, I'm from the UK and am on the mums from the united kingdome page page to try and meet mums from closer to home - maybe there's a similar page for your area too.
