My daughter is almost 7 and having her first "real" slumber party! She's invited a couple friends over and is more excited than I could have ever imagined!! :) I want them to have a fun, memorable time!

I was thinking of some ideas to keep them occupied from about lunch Sat. until they leave Sunday. Of course, they will occupy themselves a lot of the time playing on their own.... But I had thought about letting them give each other mani/pedi's, having movie and popcorn, swimming..... Is there any other ideas/tips you can suggest for them?

Thanks for all your suggestions! They had a GREAT time! I found some disney princess press on nails for the manicures which they loved!! They played dress up SEVERAL times! lol Did a fashion show, danced around, did a Christmas play, played on slip and slide and went swimming, baked cookies and decorated them with icing and sprinkles, played babydolls, watched movies..... Needless to say it was a very busy couple of days!! I was exhausted by the time they went home! lol They had a Good time and that's what matters most!!

Thanks again for all your suggestions! :)

my daughter has slumber parties regularly. the mani/pedi is always a big hit for the girls, we bake, watch movies, dance around, just be crazy. one thing all the girls seem to enjoy is crafts, beading and sparkly stuff is always a huge hit:)

see what they would like to do, then have them help you with it.

Maybe they can make something to keep as a memory from the party, like a keyring, a necklace, maybe you have a crafts shop that sell stuff like that?

My daughter did that when she was turning 8. I let them make pig-in-the-blankets for dinner (or my pizza puff recipe would also work). At the choice of my daughter I also let them make my daughter's cake. They said the food was better because they made it themselves. They also had a fashion show, and made their own video that I recorded. Then we all sat and watched it. The next morning the girls helped me make french toast for breakfast. The girls are 10 now and they all still say it was the 'best slumber party ever'. I don't know about that, but I know they had a blast.

My daughters friends parent through a campout slumber party this year. But it ended up being too cold the night of the party so they couldn't sleep out in the tent, they slept on her living room floor. She and her husband did a cook out of hambugers and hotdogs, later in the day they had a small inclosed fire pit that they did smores, they read stories, and feel asleep watching a movie.
