Quoting Emily:
I gave my daughter milk at six months. I got whole milk and watered it down a little. I wouldn't give a whole bottle, but as a treat I don't think it hurts.
when you see a child vomit non stop for 15 minutes u'll see it hurting... and tha'ts from milk that i drank and she nursed needless to say neither of us drink milk now *sh'es 12 months still nursing*

NO unless you feel like dealing with internal bleeding and increased risk of milk allergy ... and as aparent of a child with food allergies trust u dont want to deal with that

Better consult your pediatrician on this. Your baby might develop allergies, we never know. although there are babies who started milk her age.

breastmilk or formula until a year old is recommended because milk doesn't have everything they need to grow. If you aren't making enough breastmilk for him ask your prediatrician if you can supplement with formula or start baby food earlier.

You can give your six month old formula or breast milk. There stomachs are not ready for regular milk and regular milk doesnt have the nutrients that a baby needs.

Doctors say that you shouldn't give milk to babies until after a year old.

I would say no, because the milk could upset the child stomach because it can't handle it. Not only that the child won't be getting the nutrition that they would be getting if they are on baby milk. I would check with your childs doctor before you do something like that. If you are having problems with buying milk there is programs like Women Infant and Children(WIC) that can help you with infant milk.

My doctor said wait until 12 months. The cows milk does not have as much vitamins as formula or breast milk. It is also harder for them to digest, it makes them constipated.

I was told not to start cows milk until a year old do to allergies. It's best to keep giving breastmilk or formula until a year old. I'm no doctor so I'd say if you are truly considering this to check with your child's peditrician.

It can be but you really need to confirm that with a pediatrician. it would have to be whole milk and your baby would probably have to be a certain weight for the dr to say yes. my youngest started on milk at 9months because he suddenly developed an allergy to formula. dr said it was ok to try milk since he was already 20 lbs.

The recommended time to offer regular milk is after one yr, that way there is less chance of a milk allergy.
