There are ways to get protein, just talk to your doctor. I have a nephew who didn't eat meat until he was in his teens and he was fine. There are other ways to get the nutrients he he needs to grow healthy and strong without meat!

there are lots of alternatives
such as cereal, nuts, beans, dairy products and even some fruit and vegies that can give your son the protein he needs and the more active he is the more he needs
baked beans have been a favourite for my son and also I get ground flax seed from a health food shop and add it to a lot of his meals
I have a 12 year old who doesn't like meat or dairy so he is also on a protein supplement and also a multivitamin

if it helps my daughter (7) only likes chicken and ham (sometimes) she use to eat hambuger but now she not a fan of it at all she will pick it out of everything. Let your child aquire a taste for it they say you have to try things up to 7 times to know if you really like something. As alway if your concerned asked his doctor. He may just be going through one of the many stages.

Dairy products, peanut butter, beans, etc... have all the protein he needs. Meat is good, but it is not neccessary.

If u worry bout ur child getting enough protein u may wanna start a muultivitamin (which covers the basis for the essentials)...My daughter only eats chicken so i've kinda went through this lol...If u still worry, you may wanna consult with ur childs dr. and see what he/she says about it, maybe they can give u better advice...Also, if u havent already, u may wanna post this question to the recipe swap community and get some good protein packed recipes for beef ;) Good luck
