My 5 yr old daughter doesnt seem to understand humor

I've noticed that my daughter, who's almost 6, has a rather poor grasp of humor. She laughs at things other people laugh at (even if she doesn't know why it's funny) and laughs at things she's seen people laugh at before. Things like funny cartoons she didn't start giggling at until she was almost 5, and that was because we finally sat down with her and explained why certain things were funny...and once again she took her cue from what WE laughed at. My 2 yr old gets humor better than she does. Anyone know if this is something to be concerned about? Could this have something to do with her ADD?

There is no need to worry whatsoever. Some kids just kick in to humor earlier than others - and some never seem to see the point of a joke in some areas for their whole lives. It is normally just a personality thing.

I think she is fine. It could just be her personality. My girls are VERY logical(sp). My 6year old was 3 when she yelled for Fred Flintstone to just jump through the window when the cat locked him out. Dont worry. She could just be to smart for her own good. Learn her personality and dont compare her to others including her sister. Good luck
