My husband and I just moved into a new house a month ago. My two oldest (7&5) are used to sharing a room and now they have their own rooms. They are excited but my 7 yo is afraid to sleep up in her room. She says she likes having her room but once she gets up there she ends up coming back down and sleeping with her sister. She says she's scared of ghosts and such. How do I get her to not be scared of being in her room?

Mine shared when young as well. When we moved into a house that actually had enough bedrooms, they each had their own. The youngest did fine. The oldest? Well, I'd wake up and find him sleeping with his brother "to protect him, mom"...
My oldest was having problems with having his own room. He'd never had a room to himself! So, while they were still young, I moved them back in together, and made the other room the playroom. When they got old enough to want separate space, it was easy to transition them back to two rooms.
I'd advise that for now. Let them decide when they are ready to be in their own rooms. It really doesn't hurt anything for them to share.

My youngest daughter was also scared to sleep in her room. I asked her to show me what was in the room that scared her. She took our a bunch of stuff ... teddy bears, shoes, all kinds of stuff. I watched her bag them up, and we took them to the trash (some of these items were good items, but she didn't know I took them out of the trash).
Them I took a spray bottle, filled it with water and had her spray her room. She thought it was a special potion, but that's all it took.
