I never said don't go to the doctor, I think going to the doctor is a given, ...but she was wanting suggestions and that was mine...I never said it was a "cure". I said it's greatly helped my moms eyesight, but that it's still not perfect...never said it would or wouldn't work on her child...just throwing it out there, because i've seen it work...don't knock it till you've tried it.

"Her vision has been degenerating quite rapidly over the past few years?" I would definitely take her to an ophthalmologist a.s.a.p. And a bio-feedback machine, really? Don't you want to know the cause before you try a "cure" that may or may not work?

This might sound a little crazy..trust me I wouldnt believe it if I hadnt saw it work myself, but my mom has a biofeedback machine...she has used it to correct her eyesight...It's still not perfect, but its a lot better, and hers was really bad...she started going in ever few weeks to the eye doctor and he kept having to change her perscription for her contacts..it got to where he was charging her for every other appointment since she was in there so much and giving her trial contacts...like i said i know it sounds crazy..I cant even begin to explain how it works, but you might see if their is someone in your area who uses it...it's worth looking into.

Yes it can be genetic, but it can also not be. My eyesight is worse than my moms, she does not have the degenerative disorder that I have. I also have tearing retinas, and nobody else in my family does. There can be many things causing it, and it may just be the way she was born. Has her dr said why her eyes a degenerating?

Thanks! No she's not gone to see an eye Dr. The optician that we go to get her glasses told us that in 6mths if her prescription goes up - he will refer her to an eye Dr. Her vision has been degenerating over the past few years quite rapidly. Do you know if this can be caused by genetics? Her father has pretty bad eyesight. :)

Has she seen a dr about it? Does she wear glasses? Some poor eyesight you can do excercises to improve, unfortunately there are others that will never improve. My eyes are degenerative, meaning they are increasingly worse every year, no matter what I do. Wearing my glasses as often as possible will slow the degeneration to 40% rather than 70%. My daughter is similar. When she got her first pair of glasses, the dr made them a little weak for her in hope her eyes would adjust, and then he would continue that process of forcing her eyes to adjust. This did not work, however, her eyes did not adjust, he had to increase her perscription and there is nothing to improve her vision, except glasses.
