My Daughter is a picky eater when it comes to foods in general . What are some ideas that you may have for me on this subject ?

My daughter is still a picky eater....... and you can't make a seperate meal for her everyday. So what I do is make alot of stews, goulashes, hotdishes, etc. Things where you can incorporate all the things she needs in her diet, without her knowing it. Like, for example she will not eat onions or mushrooms. So if i make something that calls for those, then i just dice them super small, so she never knows. You can do the same with veggies, meats, etc. Hope that helps :) If she isn't a fan of peanut butter, you can get the recipe for peanut butter playdoh..... she can play with it, and eat it. When i make it, i let the kids use raisins, chocolate chips, anything that is edible that they can use to play with.... and they absolutely love it! A fun, healthy snack!

I think you have to make food interesting for them...a steamed package of peas doesn't do much to thrill me either. For my family, I find incorporating veggies into other foods and exposure to lots of different types of foods makes them more adventurous eaters. I have a website called www.faithfuldinners.com. It has new family-friendly menus every week, with easy to follow preparation guides and grocery lists. Log on and try out the Sample Menu.

hiya i had this with my daughter. she goes through phases where 1 day she will eat something but the next time i give it to her she says she dont like it. you could try getting her to help you prepare the food, or make funny faces with the food. try not to force her to eat but instead find ways to persuade her to at least try it - for example when i wanted my girl to eat peas i told her if she ate a forkful i would take her to the park for an hour after dinner. other things to try maybe swimming, or having a friend from school round, or something she really likes for dessert? my girl still wont eat peas but she now eats a variety of other veg. as long as there is a variety of foods from the different foods groups she should be fine though so dont let it worry you too much and dont let her see you getting frustrated with it. if you find yourself worrying about it or nothing seems to work speak to dr or health visitor and see what they can suggest. hope this helps and good luck x x
