While my daughter was in daycare, she was officially in Pre-K because of her age but they pulled her out of her class for part of the day and went with the kindergarden kids. when i went to register here for public school the School said they dont skip kids, i asked for them to test her and they wouldnt. what can i do at home so that she can maintain her level?

Thanks for your advise i will go on that website and also speak to her teacher to ensure that she doesnt get bored.

Go on the OPI website and get the standards taught to 1st graders so you know what to teach. Even if the school didn't skip her (this young age is hard to skip kids b/c even if they are ready academically, socially and emotionally might be a different story) they should be meeting her needs by having her read with first graders at certain times of the day and giving her more challenging math activities. I would talk to her teacher also and see what she suggests. You definitely don't want your daughter to get bored.
