my kids stole my money, what must I do?

yesterday, my old son, 9th, stole money from my wallet. I was so cofuse about that, angry + sad + shame + blame my self. not about how much he had stolen, but i don't like that. What must I do for this? who could help me ?..tx before

I have a couple of thieves and we always double the amount stolen. I pay minimum wage per hour and only pay them for the length of time it would take ME to do it. They are welcome to take all the time in the world to do it but if it only takes me 20 minutes to clean the bathroom then that's all they get paid for.

My 9 year old did the same thing. He put it in his wallet, I showed him the wallet and the money. Explained what would happen if he were older, get arrested and took privileges away from him. He did it a few times, and keeps getting caught or called out by one of his brothers. Hasn't done it in a long time now.

I would make him work it off, do odd jobs and extra chores and also make sure he does not have any priveleges for a while. And talk to him. Tell him how it made you feel and that he cannot keep doing this kind of thing.
