Need Ideas for a 7yr old girls bday!!

The baking one sounds great, but with seven year olds, maybe you should pre bake cookies/cupcakes ahead of time. Load them up with things to decorate and let em at it! Maybe taking a photo of each guest with their decorated things would be a great way to remember and thank them all. Use coupons to buy the break and bake stuff or ready made, shouldn't be too bad. Another idea, ask the guests to bring 4 or 5 photos with them to scrapbook. Then go to your target/walmart/craft store and buy a big kit usually the good ones are about $25. Make sure you're not buying an album in it, you won't need it. Then get glitter and stickers at the dollar store if you want, might not need them. Let the girls all make their own pages. They have a great time doing it. Be sure to get enough scissors and acid-free glue sticks for everyone (dollar store). Then the girls can take their pages home. Some mom's will take some quicks when your guests arrive, have another adult run to walgreen's or something and make about 3 copies of each then let the girls scrapbook those too. Play hanna/britney/taylor in the background and they'll get sucked in for hours. One warning- don't serve drinks or food where they are scrapping. One spill will lead to a million tears.

Well, for my daughters 9th birthday we had a Hawaiian Lau au(sp?) It's in January, but I got the girls the grass skirts, and the lai's. I also got prizes for the girls to win. We did hula hoop contest, two girls against each other until there is only 2 left, last one standing get's a prize. We did hula dance off. And then just played games, got a radio and put in some girlie songs, and let them sing and dance. Got fruit and put it inside a pineapple shell, stuff like that. It doesnt cost much, and you can make up all kinds of games. Also, just let them play whatever they want. We did Simon says. I did make sure that we played enough games so that each girl got a prize... then it was food and cake time. By the time 2 hours was over, the parents were ready to go, but the girls could have stayed there all day. Hope this helps, it was a real hit for my daughters group.

When my little one turned seven, I went to the dollar store and bought all the decorations, then I baked 12 cupcakes for the girls to decorate. The other thing I did was I bought this plaster type of stuff , you can find at any craft store, Crayola makes it. They can make a christmas ornament for their tree or whatever they want. they loved this and was not expensive.

puppets.. kids make puppets out of paper bags (cheap $1.00 fo bout 100) have them put on a show. bake a box cake and put a small toy on it she will enjoy,( thats a gift too) buy a roll of freezer paper and let all the kids draw a special happy birthday message use this for the table cover.

What about going to Hobby Lobby or even walmart and get some crafts stuff...make bracelets...or neckles... for a box of all the stuff its like 10bucks..make cupcakes and have different toppings in a bowel and have the kids make the topping they want. My daaughter is alos turning 7 in Nov...were going to do all the above but add a bounce house or have a lady come for face painting.

What about a baking party? the kids come over and help bake cookies or cupcakes, decorate them and then the real fun, eat their creations. We did this with my daughter and her and her friends LOVED it. You also save on not having to buy an expensive cake. If you are crafty you could get really cheap aprons that they decorate before the baking starts. Then those aprons could be the party favor.
