So i'm watching my nephew this summer, and i've noticed that he is always tenting in his underwear. Which him being 11 i can understand, but should i mention to him about maybe putting on some shorts? And how do i even go about that without both of us dying from embarrassment?

No one has addressed the fact that he has lawyas done this so you suddenly asking him to put pants on would seem out of the norm. Have you thought about asking his parents to talk to him? Tell them about your discomfort and then they can tell him that they don't think it is appropriate to walk around others homes without pants on. I am very licky in my home because I have always been able to speak openlyt with my son. I would just tell him he is getting older and there are some things others are not comfortable seeing so please wear pants. End of discussion.

Even if he does at home, a typical 11 year old wouldn't feel comfortable wandering about in his underwear in someone else's home. Maybe he is just super comfortable in yours.
I don't think there needs to be a big discussion. Just say "Get some shorts on." Why? "Because you're not home, so you need to wear clothes." If he doesn't understand that, then you have the bigger issue of an improperly socialized child.

If he is 11 I would just tell him that it would be more appropriate if he didn't wander around the house without shorts on. We don't allow anyone other that my 3 year old to run around in their underwear, and I only let her because it is so very hot this summer or she wouldn't be doing it either.
