haveing just moved to a small village in Wales with my 2 sons and a daughter, my 13 year old son was to start a new school. It is compulsary that all boys wear a short trouser uniform regardless of the time of year.
Paul is reluctant to wear shorts again saying it would make him feel like a little boy, I have pointed out to him that it is compulsary here and at 13 he is still a child anyway, he had a tantrun over it and I told him to behave or I will put him back in shorts full time, in and out of school, which I have done, as I thought this would be the best way to remind him, and to get used to being a little boy again. I took him out to buy his new short trouser uniform and also some childs red, no fly, shorts and some white underpants for school and superman underpants for around the house and to play in. On the night before school I changed his bed times from 10pm to 7 pm and told him that this would be his normal bed times from now on, he did'nt like it but after I gave him his teddy he soon cried himself to sleep. As i expected he soon settled in to school and made new freinds, allthough a lot younger than him, they would often call around asking if Paul could go out to play. It did seem strange at first watching little boys in their shorts playing in the garden togeather as if Paul had found his second childhood, he was certainly not the rebellious teenager he once was thanks to him haveing to wear short pants again.
